January 26, 2026: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Brother, Jeffrey K. Meader. Jeff was a devoted member of Crawford Lodge #234 and had served previously as Past Master and Lodge Secretary. Our heartfelt sympathy and condolences are extended to his family. A Masonic Service by Crawford Lodge #234 will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Rose-Waid Funeral Home, 12422 Conneaut Lake, Conneaut Lake, PA.

Jeffrey Karl Meader, age 69, of Meadville, PA, passed away comfortably on January 26, 2026, from dementia and pneumonia.

Born on August 29, 1956, in Meadville, Jeffrey was the son of the late Jean Helen (Palmer) Meader and Harold “Jack” Meader, Jr.

Jeff graduated from Meadville High School and shortly after, began a lifelong career at Channellock, Inc, where he dedicated 43 years of work.

Outside of work, Jeff had a passion for history, particularly the Civil War. Upon retiring, he fulfilled his dream of settling in Gettysburg, PA. He actively participated in the 150th PVI, “The Bucktails” Civil War reenactment group for many years, where he traveled across the central and eastern US for reenactments. He was an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast, enjoying many friendships while riding.

Jeff was a lifelong member of the Masonic Lodge #234, offering years of service to his brothers, who he had many fond memories.

Jeff was known for his humorous nature. In his free time, Jeff enjoyed fishing and hunting, crafting items for his reenactment hobby, assisting friends when they needed help, and always made time to support his daughters’ sports when they were young.

Jeff is survived by his daughters, Sarah L. McCracken (Meader) and Meghan V. Meader, and three grandsons, Brett A. McCracken, Patrick J. McCracken, and Graham R. Garrett. He also leaves behind his brothers, Jonathan K. Meader and Joel K. Meader, along with nephews Justin K. Meader and Dustin J. Meader and their children.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, all maternal and paternal grandparents, as well as a niece and nephew.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 4:00 PM until the time of service in ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 12422 CONNEAUT LAKE RD, CONNEAUT LAKE. A Masonic service from Lodge #234 will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 6:00 PM. Inurnment will be in Greendale Cemetery, Meadville.
